■ The Challenge

Fitting two flights into an existing stairwell required careful planning to ensure all elements aligned correctly. The client also wanted a subtle shadow gap around the treads to accommodate vertical strip lighting and create a futuristic effect.

■ The Solution

The lower flight was designed with closed risers, and the upper flight with open risers, creating a dynamic visual contrast while maintaining smooth transitions between levels. The shadow gap was integrated discreetly, allowing the lighting to enhance the staircase’s clean, architectural lines and give it a subtly futuristic feel. The result is a staircase that feels precise, elegant, and perfectly suited to its space.
