■ Introduction

This project embodies a remarkable fusion of contemporary aesthetics and simple engineering. A Metal Staircase Co original, featuring 10mm steel stringers and a side-mounted glass balustrade, this style is a classic which truly reflects modern staircase design. The glass panels are secured to the steel structure through the application of powder coated glass adapters, ensuring a seamless and visually pleasing integration. One of the most interesting features in this project is the captivating arrangement of two flights gracefully arranged in a stacked configuration, with the upper flight elegantly branching off into two distinct directions. This architectural composition not only serves as a functional element but creates a dynamic environment, leaving a lasting impression on the user.

■ The Challenge

While the lower flight was straightforward, the upper staircase introduced significant complexity. Its T-shaped configuration needed to connect precisely with the lower stair through the balustrade, making accurate setting out and measurement critical. Allowing sufficient tolerance for installation without creating visible gaps added to the challenge.

■ The Solution

The staircase was engineered to balance precise alignment with practical installation tolerances. Careful coordination between the upper and lower flights ensured the balustrade connected seamlessly, resulting in a clean, cohesive design and a smooth onsite installation.
