■ The Challenge
The staircase needed to be an inspiring addition to the Nest showroom, which showcases beautifully designed homeware, within Park Hill, one of Sheffield’s most iconic Grade II listed buildings. It had to complement the industrial character and exposed concrete, despite primarily serving as access to storage.
■ The Solution
A clean, industrial-style staircase was created, drawing on previous projects featuring perforated steel balustrades. Laser-cut detailing subtly incorporates the company logo, transforming a functional route into a refined design feature. Positioned among beautifully crafted products in such an iconic building, the staircase stands as a statement of design in its own right.
