Our Roots

We’re a new staircase manufacturer, but we aren’t new to stairs. The Metal Staircase Company is a collaborative effort between two industry-renowned brands, First Step Designs and Stairbox, and have become the latest addition to the AVC group.

We are a team of dedicated creatives and craftsmen who started life in the industry with a dream to design and supply only the most innovative staircases.

It is in realising this dream that we are where we are today, providing inspirational products for the discerning homeowner.

Our World

We have built our business around a collection of sustainable materials that are durable by nature and maintain a stylish aesthetic. Using steel as the core structure, it is the most recycled material in the world, and once created it can be used again and again. We compliment this with timber and glass which are all source from responsible suppliers.

The result, a remarkable product with a low environmental impact which can stand the test of time in even the busiest of homes.
